A Visit to San Gimignano

While most large cities in the world have the best cathedrals and museums, my favorite places to visit are the smaller towns and villages in a country. I enjoy the slower pace and less crowds, but I also love to see a place with ties to older customs. It is like stepping back in time, and since I’m a history geek, it resonates far more than a famous sculpture or painting. San Gimignano is exactly the type of place I love to explore.

Introverts: Better World Travelers?

A common misconception says it is difficult to be both an introvert AND a traveler.  Introverts are thought to be more comfortable in the confines of their home and never venture out unless they have to.  Horse-pooey.  I’m both a strong introvert and I love to travel.  I’ve traveled around the world and enjoyed every minute.  Contrary to popular belief, introverts can make the best travelers.  Here’s why.
