Even if it is “all in your head”, it doesn’t make the hurt any less real. In fact, it is the worst place for it to be.
…a chance to meet up with all the people who ignored you in high school so they can do it again. Think of it as a booster shot for unpopularity you have to get every 5 years.
…and nothing will change; and I refuse to send “thoughts & prayers”. They appear to be the only things that anyone is ever willing to offer, yet they don’t really seem to be resolving the problem.
One of the most asinine things one American can say to another is, “If you don’t like this country, leave!”
If you don’t like the color of your house, you don’t move; you CHANGE it. Citizens advocating for change is what created this great nation. Insinuating that nothing in this country is allowed to change runs contrary to all our previous history.
You know what’s pretty disrespectful to the American flag?
The Confederate flag.
People sometimes ask me what my blog site is about. My answer is always the same. “Me”. I am under no illusions I write great prose. I don’t believe most of my posts are about anything interesting or noteworthy. In fact, most are crap. But that’s OK. Most of us don’t lead noteworthy or adventurous lives. I’m no different.
