“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Life is growth. If we do not invest in our personal and spiritual growth, it is the same as dying. Before we seek growth in others, we need to commit to it in ourselves.

Why I Write…

People sometimes ask me what my blog site is about. My answer is always the same. “Me”. I am under no illusions I write great prose. I don’t believe most of my posts are about anything interesting or noteworthy. In fact, most are crap. But that’s OK. Most of us don’t lead noteworthy or adventurous lives. I’m no different.

Simple Little Breakfast

“Enjoy the little things in life. for one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things.” –Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

My wife and I are on different morning schedules. During the week, I get out bed at least an hour before her. Wine Over Beer, Never Fear…

I’m a recent convent to the religion of wine.  Of largely Irish heritage, I grew up a beer drinker and stayed that way through most of my adulthood.  However in the past 4-5 years, spurred mostly by my travels and a desire for better health, I have switched almost totally to wine.  Like when I started drinking beer, wine is an acquired taste.  It takes time to develop a palate for drinking wine.  While I can’t say that I have a fully developed wine palate, I can say I’m definitely a wine lover now.  And here are the reasons why:
