Things I’ve Learned in My Interracial Marriage

Earlier this month was the 50th anniversary of the Loving v Virginia US Supreme Court decision that struck down laws against interracial marriage in the United States.  While this landmark decision didn’t affect most couples in this country, it ended up being very important to me.  I’m from the south and I’ve been in an interracial relationship for almost 20 years and married for 16 of them.

Spain Trip: Day 14 – Last Day in Madrid, El Retiro Park

For our last full day in Spain, we had no tours scheduled.  Usually when we travel, we don’t make a lot of plans.  That allows us to factor in environmental elements like the weather, events, etc. as they occur.  Having seen most of the sights we wanted to see in Madrid, we decided to just do a “walk-about”.  And the first place we headed was across the street from the hotel, El Retiro Park.
